dolor (2023) was choreographed by Karam during her Junior year at Kent State University. The work premiered in the 2023 B.F.A. Student Dance Concert / Student Dance Festival “REDEFINING”.

The work explores several different personal themes: anguish, exhaustion, sorrow, community. Within the piece, each dancer is undergoing their own tumultuous experiences. Despite this, they are able to find support within each other.
