Kylie Karam (she/her/hers) is a dance artist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University with a B.F.A. in Dance and a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship as a member of the Honors College. During this time, she was awarded the Xavier Atienza Scholarship, the Cowperthwaite Scholarship, and the G. Harry Wright Award in Dance by her dance faculty.
To supplement her training, Karam has participated in several intensives with companies such as SALT Contemporary Dance, New Dialect, BODYTRAFFIC, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Emily Cargill & Dancers, and Regional Dance America’s National Choreography Intensive under the direction of Peter Chu. Additionally, she has performed works by Amy Hall Garner, Norbert De La Cruz III, Micaela Taylor, Rena Butler, Hope Boykin, Brandon Lee Alley, Stefanie Batten Bland, Tiffany Rea-Fisher, Ray Mercer, Yoshito Sakuraba, Catherine Meredith, Morgan Grube, Mark Tomasic, and Heinz Poll. Karam has also performed at various conferences and festivals, including APAP | NYC Conference, Playhouse Square Dance Showcase, OhioDance Festival, Detroit Dance City Festival, American Dance Guild Festival, American College Dance Association East-Central Conference, Cleveland Severance Hall Commemorative Concert, and Cleveland Dance Fest.
Currently, Karam is the Wardrobe Manager and second-year company member with the Dance Wheels Company. She is also a company member with Mojo Co.Lab, founded recently by Morgan Grube. Additionally, Karam works as a Cleveland-based freelance artist and has presented her own choreography at the 2024 Cleveland Dance Fest and the 2025 OhioDance Festival.
